Our Visual Genes

For hundreds of thousands of years the first primates saw their reflection in still waters each time they drank. This combined with their awareness of mortality, maternal care and breast feeding contributed to our brain development for survival of the fittest visually and physically. Given these genes created for our visual prowess, it’s no wonder society fumbles with fashion and superficial change spending countless millions monthly unnecessarily disrupting GDP.

Our visual ability still can be an asset to our mental health as we use the mirror to exercise an internal voice that sees beyond and connects sub consciously. This is well known as dynamic self-talk. This is used for performance and long term accomplishment, much like hypnosis. Without this internal reflection we are static and sub-optimized performance. As a species we have the capability to be designers of our own future. This self talk promotes bi- hemispherical more powerful brain use much as is researched with women’s genetics.  Research also shows not much change in their DNA from over 47,000 years ago, with men still showing much room for change or adaptability. This could mean an opportunity for rating and nurturing human evolution for our survival.

New E-conomy and  Values

I believe a new economy to maintain a middle class will arise with the web through on-line businesses, social media marketing, affiliate marketing and particularly online education. The web will be a strong provider of education to the poor who will help build that middle class. A middle class is essential for buffering and stabilizing the upper investment class, making more available funds. This will be feasible due to a new rise of health and personalized or specialized values that create opportunities for the unemployed and underemployed.   A new variety of crafts and services can be available due to the webs efficiency and new business branding capabilities that can cater to the well-to-do’s need for crafts and services. The evidence is as pervasive as the wrinkles from poor tailoring on hi-end branded suits.
Economy and business is generally the solution when the crossroads of innovation and public values merge. This is called a “Killer Apps” or when applications of innovations that change society occur. The web as one of the historical Apps is as pervasive as the printing press, the telephone or the library. Easy information, easy networking and easy press will add new competition, values and a new economy.
Values over history have created innovations or apps that have been as non-material as religion was for the last 5000 years. Back then as well as in rogue states there is a need for subjugation. In history there was need for human meaning through religion. AS well today the industrial era’s material innovations bring with it a certain acquisition if not in spirit. In the early part of this era, values for employment were brought by the tailors need for cloth so then was created the spinning jenny. This led to the industrial loom, manufacturing and the re-tailor. Consider the impact of the steam engine as a societal game changer app, for the distribution of people and goods in the industrial age or even today the computer for the value of the information age.  Information that is relevant via an important trend is paramount so we can hasten the leap to the solar age, to access cheap clean energy. Today the world's poorest have hope with a simple solar light they can read at night, to improve their skills while saving money instead of constantly buying dirty kerosene for lamps, another important killer app.
Creating new human values related to health is one example of successful employment. Exercise coaches cash in on the overworked boomers and hormone hungry 20 somethings.  As well a way to complement that health commitment is coming through the tailored wardrobe package that will prompt more employment and entrepreneurs as tailoring designers. For centuries a man’s wardrobe actually had armor reflecting a man’s role at the time. Today the wardrobe also needs to protect a smart, credible and competent image.

Completion is part of the values of successful or critical thinking. People can complete and maintain their body shape through exercise when keeping in mind they have made an investment in those parameters of shape through a well-tailored garment or wardrobe. The wardrobe can be successful or completed the same way an authentic tailor completes a flat piece of cloth by sculpting it.
